Fr Bartholomew Daly [MHM] is from Mountcollins, Co. Limerick. He is the eldest of four children. Ever since he was a young boy, he wanted to do something that would help the less fortunate. After ordination at Mill Hill, London on July 8, 1962, he was appointed to the United States, to Mill Hill Headquarters in Albany, New York. In 1965, he was appointed to Kenya, to the Archdiocese of Kisumu, where he worked in Misikhu Mission, and later in Kaplong, Nakuru Diocese. After five years in Kenya, he was reassigned to the United States, this time to the Bronx. In 1974, he was appointed Rector of the newly opened Mill Hill residence in Yonkers, N.Y.
In 1982, he was elected Regional Representative of Mill Hill in the United States and re-elected in 1985. He was a delegate to the 1988 General Chapter. That same year he became pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish in the Bronx. In 1992, he was appointed Co-Vicar for Religious in the Archdiocese and pastor of Our Lady of Peace Church in Manhattan until 2016. He was also elected and reelected Regional Representative of Mill Hill during this time. Since 2016, Fr Daly has been giving his pastoral services in the parish of St John the Evangelist & Our Lady of Mount Carmel. His presence and contributions to the life of the Parish are well appreciated by so many people. Please join our Parish on Saturday June 25 at the 5:30 pm Mass for the Diamond Jubilee of Fr. Bartholomew Daly, as we celebrate his 60 years of priesthood as a member of the St. Joseph’s Missionary Society. The festive Mass will be followed by a Reception in the auditorium where everyone is invited to congratulate Fr Daly personally and to express their love and appreciation. ALL ARE WELCOME.

Únase a nuestra parroquia el sábado 25 de junio en la misa de las 5:30 p. m. por el jubileo de diamante del p. Bartholomew Daly mientras celebramos sus 60 años de sacerdocio como miembro de la Sociedad Misionera de San José.
